Having trawled through many independent stairlift supplier sites for ideas and costs
for the installation of a new stairlift we were no wiser and had become inundated
with literature which meant little or nothing to us, until we came across your stairlift
website and Guide. Here we discovered unbiased and helpful advice on all aspects
of the pros and cons of installing a stairlift, and discovered that even though
we had a complex curved stairwell, two straight stairlifts would be an ideal solution
for us and provide us with an economic option. We were introduced to an approved
stairlift supplier through the Which Stairlift website and within 2 weeks from first

without fuss and which suited our pocket.
Without the Guide we would either still be in a complete state of confusion or worse

without hesitation that they look up the Which Stairlift Independent Guide in order
to fully evaluate all the available options without the undue pressure of sales

I used your site to discover more about the various stairlift options that might
be available and to find a reputable stairlift company to undertake a stairlift
survey and hopefully a later fitting of a stairlift. I found the information contained
in your website extremely helpful, as it answered many of the questions I had relating
to curved stairlifts.
I completed the relevant form on the Which Stairlift website in order to find a
company operating in my area, and thought at the time I would be lucky if I heard
in a couple of weeks, and would have to chase things up even then. However I was
very pleasantly surprised when I received contact by both phone and email via your
site from a company operating in my home area. They arranged for a representative
to attend the following day to undertake a preliminary survey. I knew it would be
touch and go whether a stairlift could be fitted as we have a small house and the
stairs are curved, steep, narrow, has a low ceiling over part of it, and a couple
of doors in the way. The representative also thought it would be tricky, but took
our order with a guarantee of a full refund if it became clear that fitting would
be impossible. An engineer called and having taken all the measurements spent several
days working things out so that a lift could be installed. They pulled out all the
stops and the stairlift was designed and installed about a week before my father
was discharged from hospital, and even helped us minimise the costs by suggesting
a reconditioned stairlift.
Many thanks for your excellent web site, by using it I had all my questions answered,
and a stairlift fitted in a very difficult space in record time by a company I would
thoroughly recommend. It was a delight to see that it fitted my father just right
when he came home from hospital, and made his life and that of my mother and myself

We have now had the stairlift for some 8 months. The information provided, the smooth
installation and the aftercare have been exceptionally good. Although the stairlift
was acquired to help my wife, I too have found it extremely useful when carrying
parcels, laundry or meals to our bedroom. It is easy to operate, silent, can be
folded to make more room on the stairs and is there when you need it. I do not know
how we would have coped given my wife's medical problems without it.

I have purchased a stairlift from your recommendation, the service was prompt and
affordable I went on your web site on the sunday evening and asked for a call back
which they did first thing monday morning they arranged a visit monday afternoon
the surveyor was polite and efficient. He worked out a price with the company over
the phone which was on speaker so I could overhear the whole conversation, the price
was acceptable and the stairlift was fitted on the thursday the fitter was hard
working and very clean, you can't get any better than that. Also since the stairlift
has been fitted the stairlift company have phoned me at least twice to make sure
everything is ok and my mum is getting on with it. I am totally satisfied with the
service and the promptness of it i would recommend you to anybody who is looking
for a stairlift.

I had a new stair lift fitted approximately 18 months ago for my father who could
no longer manage the stairs due to his ongoing health problems. My father was always
a very independent man and he found it very difficult to have to rely on other people
(even refusing to use a Zimmer frame, suggested by the doctors in the hospital)
and although he only lived for 9 months after it was installed it meant that he
keep his independence for that much longer. He found it of great benefit and it
was gratifying to see him so pleased with it. We still have it installed as my mother
feels that it won't be much longer before she might need the use of it.

I enquired on behalf of my aunt who is 91 and is determined to stay in her own home

In March 2007 I decided, with my father, that it would be a good idea to have a
stairlift fitted for him. I searched the internet, found your site, registered his
details and went to make a cup of coffee. Before I had got to the kitchen, the phone
rang and it was someone from your company requesting further details. They informed
me that one or more of their recognised stairlift suppliers would be in touch. I
returned to making the coffee but again before the kettle boiled the phone rang.
It was which Stairlifts. The lady explained that an agent was in the area and could
be with us within half an hour, if that was convenient. An extremely pleasant gentleman
duly arrived, explained everything, measured up, phoned to find out about availability
and submitted the order.
I asked how long we would be waiting for it to arrive, expecting an answer of two
to three weeks, but was most surprised when I was informed that the aim was to have
it in place within three to five working days. It was installed the following Wednesday,
five days after my initial tentative enquiry to yourselves. I call that damn good
service. Well done and thank you from my Dad as well as from me. Incidentally, the
stairlift has been working perfectly ever since and my Dad has regained the use
of his bedroom, which he is very happy about.
